Karim Rashid joins SOFTLINE

SOFTLINE proudly presents the latest member of our furniture design team: World-renowned designer Karim Rashid. Karim Rashid is one of the most prolific designers of his generation and has contributed three stunning designs to SOFTLINE’s 2010 collection: Blub, Pierce and Ottobed. Lovers of unique furniture design are sure to appreciate these new products.

My interest is to make form as sensual, as human, as evocative, and as sculptural as possible. Pierce is an iconic chaise lounge in which the two elements cannot coexist without each other. The chaise defies gravity with its equilibrium of floating elements, creating impact and personality in any space.
